Summary
Secrets broke her heart...and have now come back from the grave to haunt her.
A new series from NYT and USAT best-selling author, Michelle M. Pillow!
Lorna Addams’ life is not turning out like she expected. After a very public embarrassment, she finds it difficult to trust her judgment when it comes to new friendships and dating. She might be willing to give love a second chance when she meets the attractive William Warrick, if only she could come to terms with what her husband did to her and leave it in the past.
How is a humiliated empty nest widow supposed to move on with her life? It’s not like she can develop a sixth sense, séance her ex back, force him to tell her why and give her closure. Or can she?

Amazing Suspenseful Story!
This is the first book in the Order of Magic Series, a Paranormal Romance Women's Fiction Novel. Wow! I loved it! Lorna's story is captivating! Mom of three, betrayed by her late husband, she is a wonderful character, strong, and smart. William is handsome, supportive, and caring. They share an instant attraction, and an undeniable chemistry. Vivien and Heather (William's sister) are amazing friends, and wonderful supporting characters. Lorna and her two new friends are gifted with psychic abilities. The storyline is original, intricate, and enthralling, filled with mystery, suspense, and some scary scenes. Impossible to put it down! Rebecca Cook did a wonderful job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to Third Time's a Charm, Vivien's story, the second book in the Series. If you like Paranormal Romance, and Women's Fiction, this series is definitely for you! I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend it.

Great start to a new series.
I enjoyed this audiobook. The narration was great and the story flowed smoothly. We have an older couple (40's) with baggage. When Lorna moves to Freewell Cove she's hoping to start over without her past hanging over her head. Secrets destroyed her marriage and with her children gone from home she's on her own for the first time in years. When she meets Heather and Vivian, she finds her new family. The women have been drawn together by magic and they'll have to discover their new strengths. When William comes into her life, she'll also have to resolve the problems from her past. Series is fun with likable characters that grow and change as they learn from their mistakes and find new paths forward.

A new life in a new place
There is fun, a little paranormal scary action, a new blossoming relationship, new friendships, and the premise of the plot, the discovery of new psychic abilities.
Lorna finds out the day of her husband's funeral that she is his second wife and that he never divorced his first one. Starts out almost tragic/funny with a interesting funeral. As an escape from a horribly embarrassing situation leads Lorna to move. She chooses a small town she passed through once. Very quaint by the beach. She gets a job and makes friends with two other women. They are all magical.
I liked the main character, Lorna, and her friends Heather and Vivien. The story was not what I expected, but it was very good. I love the dynamic between Lorna, Heather and Vivien and how they come to rely on each other.
This book grabbed me right at the outset, and Ms. Pillow barely hit the brakes throughout the story. This book is exciting. It's paced so you don't feel as though you've missed anything important. The characters are fully written, you feel as though you know them. You feel them. That commitment to the story from the author always pays big dividends for the reader.

Great new series!!!!
This audiobook mainly revolves around Lorna but it is so much more! Yes, she had a rough start in the very beginning BUT that made her stronger & who she is during her "midlife."
SPOILERS AHEAD:
Fast forward 3 years from the beginning & she lands in Freewild Cove. It changes her life forever, in a very good way. She becomes besties with Heather & Vivian. Vivian is a hoot by the way. She even has some steamy bits with William, Heather's brother. The ladies each find the same type of object that binds them in a way plus Heather & William have a family secret that comes out. Heather embraces it but William completely denies it until...............
This audiobook so much to offer. Intrigue, humor, magic, etc. A definite must!

Mystery, magic and a pinch of sweet romance
A great story with mystery, magic and a pinch of sweet romance.
Lorna goes through an unbelievably devastating end to her 20 yr marriage, but as one door closes (or slams shut, in this case) another one opens. She starts a new chapter in life and finds the female friendships that bond them like sisters. With a little Hallmark-channel-style mystery, the friends explore their bond and the magical powers they've been given. Add in a hero that is the epitome of a good guy, and you've got the perfect amount of sweet romance.
I enjoyed Second Chance Magic and look forward to the next in the series! Narrator Rebecca Cook was new to me, and I enjoyed her performance too.

Sweet, Heartwarming.....with a little magic!
I loved this story, I was not expecting this beginning which made me surprised (since I read a lot of paranormal, this is something!). I loved the pace of the book and the characters. There were deep issues faced by each of the featured female characters that made it so much more real. New love, new friends, new beginnings. Just reminds us all, that even life has its chapters and it's never too late to create a new adventure for yourself. When you realise life doesn't bind you, there is so much world out there to experience and fall in love with! Definitely looking forward to the next one in the series! Paranormal Women's Fiction are stories featuring older women. Some of the themes in this book and the series are difficult ones. These stories help shed some light on those with a little twist of hope and magic. If you enjoy paranormal and fantasy stories, these are a perfect addition to your reading list!

Fantastic
This is such a fantastic story with a main character that is able to put herself back together stronger than ever. I loved both the journey that she went through and the friendships that she built. The world building was second to none and I found myself cheering her on for the whole book

New Beginnings
This story tells how Lorna's life was irrevocably changed after she became a widow at 41. She never saw it coming, her life was happy she and her husband of twenty years had 3 grown-up kids who were all attending college Nicholas was the oldest then there were the twins Jenifer and Jacob. But at the Funeral she learned something that would affect her deeply.....
This story was so well written, it deals with loss and starting over, learning to trust your judgement and finding friendship and love in your 40s. There is so much more I could say but that would spoil a really wonderful story, I recommend downloading this and listening to it yourself.
The narration of this book by Rebecca Cook is excellent, she brought the story to life for me.
