About this listen
Leveling systems create overpowered main characters. Cooking systems create master chefs capable of conquering any stomach. Founder systems create monstrous sects from nothing. However, who creates the systems?
This is a completely serious story written by the author of The Blue Mage Raised by Dragons.
Content Warning: Profanity, death
I really like the old guy as a protagonist—his personality, his wit, and the way he carries himself. And on top of that, he’s a man, which I appreciate. So far, there have been two male-led books from you that I’ve really enjoyed—The Blue Dragon and now The Master of Systems. That said, I also really liked The Immortal Continent, Lusia, Fluffy Tale. Your books just keep surprising me.
One of my favorite things is the humor. It has this childlike charm that always makes me laugh. You have a way of slipping in jokes—whether it’s about clothes, whips, or just random, absurd moments—and it works. Even though I’m 21, I still find myself chuckling at the little things you add. It’s refreshing, especially since a lot of books nowadays feel too serious or literal.
And the gods? I love the gods in this book. They add another layer to the world that makes it all the more interesting.
Overall, this was an amazing read. I love the book, and I love the way you write. Looking forward to whatever you create next! But I Need More Of This One
