Summary

Are you a man in need of self-love?

Do you want to raise your levels of self-esteem and self-worth?

Are you worried that expressing your needs will make you less manly?

Self-love can empower you to feel stronger, healthier, and happier, and this book was written to help you achieve that.

After her successful book about self-love for women, life coach Rebecca Collins has now turned to the needs of men and the difficulties they face in loving themselves. There has never been a more confusing time for men, who are struggling to find their balance between being "manly" and expressing their authentic self.

This book holds the key to changing all of that.

Do you want to learn how to navigate relationships, family, and life on your own terms?

Do you want to take care of your mental health and build up your self-esteem?

Do you want to become emotionally stronger and feel more empowered?

In this book, you will discover the value of self-love and find strategies to help you:

  • Understand why being told not to cry or show emotions as a boy may be stopping you from reaching your full potential as a human being.
  • Gain insights into why the way you were raised doesn’t have to define you today or in the future.
  • Get in touch with inner needs and begin to embrace the loving, compassionate man that you are.
  • Learn how to decode past traumas which are harming you and those around you.
  • Raise your levels of self-esteem and bring self-love into every aspect of your life.

Self-love isn’t just a woman thing—it’s something everyone deserves, including YOU! This book takes you through the tools you need to begin nurturing your emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health, and self-love is at the heart of that.

Be fearless, be bold, and love yourself deeply.

LOVED this book!

Toxic masculinity is such a sad reality and so many boys and men have been brought up in a way that creates shame and a feeling of inadequacy around vulnerability and being emotional, and being forced to be 'tough' and resolute under all circumstances. This creates blocks in many areas that are super hard to remove. I think this book is so important and every guy should give it a listen, from teenagers to grown men. My boyfriend listened to it too and he agrees. He definitely often has trouble being vulnerable with his emotions even with me, and we've been together 13 years. It's a great book.

An eye opening book

Wow! I totally got caught up while listening to the book; my 3 boys (14, 17, and 20) even came into the room to listen with me! I love the detail that Rebecca goes into on self-care for men, a topic that is often skipped over. I have this in my cart to buy as some stocking stuffers. A must-listen for sure!

Must listen for men and everyone who knows a man

Men need to feel open to self-love and care. Society and the media put so many false labels on what it is to be a "man", this book provides support, education, and guidance to free yourself from those restrictions. This book is beautifully written and narrated. It is great for men, but it is also a good listen for women so that we can help to support, understand, and help build up the confidence of the men in our lives. This guide is a supportive and informative resource to help men practice self-love and feel confident that they deserve to make this part of their lives. Parents of boys could benefit from this book as they work tirelessly to parent in our world today and raise healthy young men. I especially appreciated the chapter addressing boys and how we do or don't express our emotions with young boys. So many important developmental issues could be avoided if we were more aware of the preconceived notions we put on young men. This is a superb book, and it will be sure to help its reader. Read or listen for yourself or share with someone you love.

Every man should listen to this

This is great resource! This book teaches and man to be able to just push down any emotions he has, but yet allows that man to take those emotions into consideration. This is a good self-help book that teaches a man to care for themself in a healthy manner. Great content!

Self Love for Men

Parents should teach their boys the lessons in this book. There would be fewer confused angry men in the world. Boys are taught that men don't cry, and that men don't show or share their real feelings.
This book helps get rid of these wrong beliefs. Real men do allow themselves to show their vulnerability.

So inspiring!

This book was full of amazing affirmations and coaching on one of my favorite topics - love yourelf. I felt like I had my life coach by my side giving me great advice and daily rituals and practices to add to my life to improve my well-being. My favorite part was the love letter exercise at the end. I know I will re-read mine over and over again and I now will beore serious about loving myself and making my needs a priority.

"Man Up" means "Love Yourself."

This book would be a wonderful holiday gift, especially for the young adult men in your life—your sons, grandsons, nephews, neighbors, colleagues at work, and YOU!

Men have never had it harder, trying to strike a balance between conforming to stereotypical masculine ideals and being true to themselves. As a healthcare professional, I am daily appalled to realize that "Since the 1950s, typically more males die from suicide three to five times more often than females." (Wikipedia)

If you are afraid that being vulnerable will make you seem weak, you are wrong. On the contrary, it's a good idea for men to improve their sense of self-worth, self-esteem, and self-acceptance. Life coach Rebecca Collins has turned her attention to the challenges men experience in achieving that concept. This author also has tips to help you understand and use the most critical self-love tools.

Learn why the advice you received as a boy to "man up" and hide your feelings might be holding you back. Your upbringing doesn't have to dictate who you are now or in the future. You can regulate and take charge of your emotions without suppressing them.

Self-love is not only something women do; you will become stronger when you improve your view of yourself. When you focus on your feelings, you can accept them and become the kind of guy you were born to be.

It’s time to reframe modern day masculinity

We get told to ‘man up’ and not show any degree of emotion so much and this book was truly refreshing in approaching a difficult subject in a sensitive way. Men have more permission to really self care and self love and this book is a great tool for that journey.
