Summary

Poirot had been present when Jane bragged of her plan to ‘get rid of’ her estranged husband. Now the monstrous man was dead. And yet the great Belgian detective couldn’t help feeling that he was being taken for a ride.

After all, how could Jane have stabbed Lord Edgware to death in his library at exactly the same time she was seen dining with friends? And what could be her motive not that the aristocrat had finally granted her a divorce?

Lord Edgware Dies

Hugh Fraser did his brilliant job of narrating this story.
Agatha Christie did her brilliant job of keeping you guessing all the way through.
There were lots of twists and turns but this time I got there in the end and got there in the end and got the right culprit.
looking forward to listening to my next audio book.

Great story and narration

Very well read, Hugh fraser always does such clear voices without the need to resort to over the top accents. I have always liked this story and think it is very well plotted. I very much enjoyed listening.

Lord Edgware Dies

Agatha Christie’s books are my go to books when I’m struggling to find something to read. I have them in pb, audio and ebooks and I never tire of them. It’s interest to compare them to the tv series and find the differences. In this one it’s the description of Japp…anyway as usual I enjoyed this tale of Poirot being duped and of course Hugh Fraser reading..

Another good story

It was interesting to hear this case as I could remember the TV adaption at all so was fully in the edge of my seat as I worked on my uni work. I was not my favourite of Poirot's cases but I enjoyed it non the less.

Another superb story by Agatha Christie

The Murder of Lord Edgware supplies more twists and turns for Poirot.

This is superbly narrated by Hugh Fraser worth the money.

Christie at her best!

Wonderful classic Christie with a deliciously awful villain that kept me guessing even when I 'knew' the answer.
Captain Hastings plays a big part as Poirot's sidekick and is decidedly unsycophantic. A very nice change.

A superb mystery superbly read by Hugh Fraser

This Agatha Christie novel is read by Hugh Fraser who plays Captain Hastings in the TV series Poirot. His talent of bringing the dialogues to life is outstanding. His ability to sound like Poirot, Inspector Japp, Captain Hastings and variety of female characters, as well as his ability to imitate various accents makes you feel you can see the protagonists in your mind's eye. This is a hugely enjoyable plot, with the usual Agatha Christie twists and turns, that keep you guessing to the end.
A real treat, and I will certainly be buying more books read by Hugh Fraser.
