Summary

Lizards Eat Butterflies unveils David Martin’s deepest passion about how we’re living on this planet and how we could do so much more to improve our experience with a shift in perspective. In a triumph of cutting-edge science, social commentary, and deeply personal life experience, he shows us that, with an alteration in perspective, that which stands in the way of our humanity is an illusion that can be eradicated.

Far from being a 12-step program - this is the un-program in 12 sections - Lizards Eat Butterflies deconstructs the myths that trap us into victimhood, isolation, and futility. Having traveled the world for three decades of work and with the worldwide film success of Future Dreaming, along with many lectures and workshops, he weaves the narrative of this book to create a tapestry of provoking, thoughtful, and considered reexaminations of our dominant myths and perspective impairments. Lizards is a practical conversation starter to defuse the explosive challenges of inadequacy, indifference, and apathy.

Brilliant, insightful, inspirational

Dr Martin’s life is a beacon that shows just what is possible.
Yes he is brilliant, insightful, compassionate and inspirational but he also shows his deep vulnerability. He encourages us to deeply question ourselves& our our society and be our authentic self and to share that in order to grow, connect and learn how express our unique life force.

A rare encounter

An audiobook narrated by the author himself could be dull, boring or uninspiring since he knows it all and speak with same know-it-all-therefore-it's-obvious-tone.

Not. An action-packed story filled with details, surprises, facts and musings, which takes you further than Bilbo and Frodo ever traveled. More like "To the infinity and beyond".

So many layers of knowledge, ideas, new ways of seeing things will surely make both your brains and bioelectric field explode in new neural networks, a quite different way of looking at a butterfly (!) or gaze into the unknown. Whether the universe or a job application for herding Yak oxen in Mongolia.

Go, go, go! Delwe into this inferno. Forget about NLP, positive psychology, missionaries and purple scarfs.
