Summary

Jadee Trollis knows a little something about things that go bump in the night. Thanks to a father obsessed with myths, legends, and the paranormal, Jadee was dragged around the world in his pursuit of everything from ghosts to Sasquatch as a child. She got away from all that craziness in her teens, seeking a normal life as an adult. A trip to Alaska to visit her father quickly turns into a nightmare. Jadee ends up trapped in her father's tricked-out RV, hiding from the dangerous Vampires outside.

Lavos is the hottest man she's ever seen when he comes to her rescue. He growls, has some seriously strange but beautiful eyes, and he's not human. But returning to the lower 48 might not be the safety net she's expecting, and the normal life Jadee craves more than anything means never seeing Lavos again. When she finds herself in need of his help, it seems her new normal may be back in Alaska, waiting in her VampLycan's arms.

Books 1 and 2 still not beaten for me!

I did enjoy this book, but I am still waiting for any VLG book to beat 1 and 2 (Drantos and Kraven). They were so funny! I know this is the reverse of what many readers feel though. I liked the banter between the friends in this book, esp at the start. Looking fwd to reading WEN now.......I hope we hear from Bat and her sister from the 1st 2 books soon - I'm missing them. I hate to be critical because I really like Lauren Dohner as an author, but I think the phrase "You have no idea" is being over-used a little - please take this in the nice way it is intended :-)

A Great addictive series

The performance was great again.
Storyline was different, I really enjoyed it. This is an addictive series.
Glen aka Glenda was a sassy, strong independent woman.
And Lavos 2nd in command,

Lavos is the hottest man she’s ever seen when he comes to her rescue. He growls, has some seriously strange but beautiful eyes, and he’s not human.
Glen craves the VampLycan.!

Brilliant series!!

Listened to this back in May & only now writing a review after I finished book 6 in the series. I love this genre so this book was an easy choice to purchase. Great story, has some real funny moments and Savannah really brings the story to life. Couldn't wait to read the next book. I love how the stories reference past & future title characters & each book has a healthy dose of smut too

Amazing series

This series is absolutely fantastic. I love how these big tough guys go all soft and squishy for their mates. There’s a real primal need in them. A brilliant performance.

Enjoyable but…

I am enjoying this series and have already downloaded the next book, but it does feel a bit predictable and repetitive.

Mild spoiler warning…
If you have read the previous four books I feel you probably have a good understanding of the basic plot already. Important vamplycan mates with a human after overcoming difficult and dangerous circumstances/situations. At the beginning of the series I was under the impression a mating with a human was fairly rare, but by now it seems almost common. This wouldn’t be so bad if every human didn’t have to go through the same process and ask the same questions and be given the same explanations…this is very tiresome! Other than this, it’s been a light easy listen with good narration.

I’ll try the next book, but I may not make the end of the series if the same pattern persists.
