About this listen

Terry Wogan is one of Britain's most popular and successful broadcasters. Witty, charming, and relaxed, he has undoubtedly captured the nation's heart. Here, for the first time, he tells his story, from his beginnings in Limerick to incredible success as a national celebrity, in his own delightfully laconic fashion.©2000 BBC Studios Distribution Ltd (P)2000 BBC Studios Distribution Ltd Entertainment & Celebrities Celebrity Biography Funny Heartfelt Witty

I love his voice and still this gentle Irish man. He brought sense to a world of greed, money and selfish humans

His humour

An amusing and affectionate account of Tel's life up to the end of the 20th century. An excellent audiobook that merits more than one listen.

A warm & entertaining account of Terry Wogan's broadcasting career up to 2000.

A wonderful trip down memory lane for those who like myself grew up with him as a constant presence on radio on TV

A very good read, I enjoyed the detail and to be reminded of many of the household names I used to hear daily and have forgotten.

A VERY INTERESTING LIFE STORY

Great to hear Terry's voice... loved the book, his subtle humour and play with words. He's a master. The only slight downside was that it was a little bit short in detail. Definitely recommend this though!

Sir Terry... What a Star!

Great story.
Jumped around a bit date wise. But once you got use to the style it became an apparent ramble through his life....
so far. Really good that Terry did the narration himself as gives greater authentication to his charming humour!!

Terry to a tee

I didn’t realise how much he had permeated my life and how nice it would be to hear his voice - the book - Is what I expected and typically candid and self deprecating - easy to listen to and movingly sincere.

Great to hear his voice again
