Sherlock (but not quite as we know him)
Must say, I really do enjoy these adventures. There are so many positives, and most of all JPL and LA have become such good travel companions to me. A few negatives, but not nearly enough to damage the overall pleasure.
But - The accents aren’t constant, and the accentuation on certain syllables would grate with anyone actually from England - like myself!
Holmes is a product of my hometown, London, yet pronounces Southwark as South walk. It should be pronounced Suthuk.
Also not crazy about the live audience, who suddenly burst into spontaneous laughter so breaking any suspension of disbelief. Really frustrating. If they are necessary to the recording, could their involvement be isolated and edited out in post production?
Sometimes there’s a ticking clock when Holmes and Watson are not even in their apartment, but walking outside, or travelling in a cab.
But all good fun, and professionally delivered. I’ll certainly be continuing to listen...

Enjoyable
I find these stories enjoyable to listen to. There are a few downsides however.
1) The laughter at inopportune times can be a bit galling.
2) The accents and pronunciations the same as above.
On the plus side these are some entertaining stories and are fun to listen to. There is a selection of short stories totalling about 8 hours of listening. Each story is about 30 mins long.

Good in parts...
The writing is good but the voice of Watson infuriated me with an American brogue constantly evident. Yes, good stories, and this is not easy given a crowded market place, but some of the acting is overly stereotypical....

I’m delighted
Bert Coules, for me, wrote the definitive radio adaptations. But I love these so much. I don’t mind the audience. I’ve grown used to the dodgy accents. This series of tight, engaging stories is definitely a plus in my Sherlock collection. They’ve given me great pleasure and I’m sure they will you too.
