Words cannot explain how much this story has shocked and saddened me but left feeling so much happiness for Michelle and her new life

I watch the movie then decided to listen to the book I got so hooked I was listening every chance I got and I don't normally do a lot of reading/audiobooks I much rather watch the movie except in this case I felt the book was far better than watching the movie. I can't believe how cruel the man that kidnapped her was, it was quiet horrible all the things he did to her it's truly a miracle she endured it for 11 years and made it out alive, a lot of other victims would have probably given up and take there own life but thank god she had a son to inspire her to stay strong and don't give up on the hope to see him again. I wish her all the best and I do hope she finds nothing short of happiness for the rest of her life. I gave 4 stars for the story because some times she didn't say exactly what he did to her or how he was hurting her I guess it was too hard for her say but apart from that great sad story.

I truly admire the strength, courage and dedication all three girls had during such a long time in the darkness. As a 17 year old, this is honestly such a powerful testament and I aspire to have the faith Michele had both in finding happiness and having faith in God even when going through something so terrible. She found light in the darkness and inspires both me and millions of others going through hard times. This story makes me so grateful for the loving family that I have and the freedom to make my own decisions. Despite all the darkness she went through, throughout her childhood and the day she escaped, Michele has emerged as an inspiring figure who has transformed her pain into purpose, advocating for those who remain voiceless. I have learnt from this to never let anyone silence me or define who I am and through all the challenging times there is always hope and good in the world. Keep being the great person you are Michele! Never give up on your son or God. I pray you and your son are happy and will live til your hairs turn grey and God is ready to take you into his warmth and love forever in heaven.

Michelle's story is a testimony to the strength of the human spirit & the prevailing of goodness. Michelle endured & survived unbelievable, unspeakable hell. She had also savagely suffered before her capture. Thankfully, she survived to share her story. She's an amazing person, strong & beautiful.

A gripping & compelling well read audio. It would've been easy for me just to press stop to escape the discomfort I felt listening to Michelle's ordeal; that a human being could inflict so much pain & suffering on innocent persons, yet I was compelled to listen through to Michelle's triumphant escape to freedom.

Several memorable parts, one being how she enjoyed reading horror novels, then realised she was living in one.

This audio brought tears to my eyes & has given me an even deeper appreciation for the beauty & blessings of my life & all that's good & great in our world..... despite the monsters.

Michelle’s story sounds like it would be a horror fiction but she lived through it. She is an inspiration. I really believe and hope she will be reunited with her son once he is old and mature enough to understand. I also hope to eat your food one day. Thank you for sharing your story.
