I wasn’t aware that this was a retelling, but bought based on loving everything India Knight writes. Really loved the characters and story telling and the narration was perfect.

I absolutely adored the narrators reading of this book. For a few hours I felt part of the family and I laughed and smiled to myself many times as I listened. The way the original text is blended into a new context works pretty seamlessly. The plot potters along and isn’t really the point - the rich and gorgeous world created by India Knight is just fun to be a part of and it ends up like having a coffee and a catch up with your best friend you haven’t seen in ages.
