Well Researched and Varied
There are a wide variety of crimes in this collection and it is interesting hearing about the less well known crimes, although with the amount of research in these books, I would quite like to see the authors tackle single famous cases in separate books, we would probably learn a lot more than we have with some other authors.
I wasn’t too keen on the unsolved cases as I find them (for obvious reasons) incomplete and you don’t get to hear that someone has been held accountable, but other than that they are fascinating, and in a a compilation this big that isn’t really an issue for me.
The only fault I can find with these (I think I mentioned it in a previous review) is that the narration can be hard work, the tone is very robotic, and it sometimes is difficult to tell if it is a person or software reading it. I have listened to quite a few of these now and I have got used to it a bit but it did take a bit of perseverance. These would probably be better if read by the author who would probably put the right tone to the words they had written.
True crime buffs will find these worth having.

Murder & Disappearing Loved Ones
This 6 volume compilation runs for nearly 24 hours so there are plenty of cases to listen to of all different genres.
Possible Spoilers Ahead
The cases covered range from family holidays ending in disappearances murderers such as Kenneth Harris Jr, Mikhail Poplov and the Ogre Of Ardennes are here as well as topics ranging FBI and Mafia conspiracies to DNA helping solve cases, cheating spouses and expectant parents make for intriguing listening and an entertaining time.
As always these compilations are well worth the money for the content here and at nearly 24 hours long a great purchase.
