Curious mix
Strange mix of well known and obscure crimes making the whole thing a little hit and miss hence an average mark overall...however it was delivered by the master narrater kevin pierce who always seems to lift a story

Excellent book ruined by narrator
This book was a wonderful surprise with nearly all new and unknown to me at least crimes. The authors were as always brilliant BUT the narrator was appalling! There is little or no intonation in his voice the whole way through and if not for the stories themselves being so interesting I would have given up after the first half hour. Such a pity with great material ruined in my opinion.

Katherine Ramsland is a con artist
in her H.H. Holmes chapter she states it has been written about many times, so she named it "psychopath" to offer an updated neuroscientific explanation. she explains not a single thing, like she thought of a quick blurb (probably the quickest Holmes chapter in existence) and then shat it on to some paper, the chapter is 5 minutes 40 seconds, you can't even explain the start of Holmes' scams in that time frame but she claims she can talk about him, his crimes and then give her neuroscientific explanation. I've left a lot of reviews about her but she's the laziest most misleading crime "author" (i say author in the same breath as stevie wonder could play in the NFL) how she got to be part of this compilation is the biggest mystery. its not often, actually its never been the case until her where I prefer Wikipedia to an author.

Poor choice, questionably 'true'
This book was abit of a disappointment, after the joy of West Cork I wanted more true crime.
These are short, sickly and questionably true crime stories from American. Some are not coherent and roll into each other alot are sexually based which becomes distasteful as it continues in a repetitive fashion.
