The middle of a series is often a bit hit and miss, but this story took so many seemingly independent threads from book one and wove them together to create a whole new playing field for book 2.

The way the characters started from the end of book 1 and, without giving spoilers, went through what they had to go through to give meaning and context to the climax of the end of book 2 was expertly done.

Again the author is great at weaving those small incremental changes into the storyline without pointing it out: changes in perspective, character development and relationships all happening in a mostly action packed adventure.

I didn't mind the ending this time, it wasn't so much a cliffhanger as an epilogue to the story climax. This voice actor is stunningly talented as always, Off to get book 3 straight away.

This book left me in the same state as Good Omens season 2 did!! (if you know you know)
This book was SO GOOD though, full of action, relationship growth romance-wise and s€xy times (honestly I think the book had the most s€xy times from any of the author's books--and of course I wasn't complaining 😉) It was a long book but the hours flew by because of how much I was into it!
How the hell am I now supposed to wait until June for the final book!!??
