Summary

From the author of The Millennium Wolves series comes the hauntingly romantic story of a young woman’s descent into a League of vampires, and the Lord who means to keep her there.

Aileen Henderson’s unassuming life conceals a dark past. Outside of work, she hides behind her larger-than-life best friend, Cassidy, whose constant need for attention suits Aileen—and her secrets—just fine.

Until the night Aileen dies.

Awakening to a new world of brutality, bloodlust, and betrayal, Aileen plots revenge against Ragnor Rayne, the monster who cursed her with the Imprint. The demon who turned her into a vampire. The man whose eyes haunt her dreams.

She is going to make this vampire Lord regret the day he kissed her with the curse of immortality and made her his. If she can survive the Auction, and resist temptations of the flesh…

A 3.75 Read and Listen.👀🥺🔥💥

Cloak of the Vampire: Cloak of the Vampire, Book 1
By: Sapir A. Englard
🎧 Audiobook Narrated by: Lidia Dornet and Oliver Clarke
Length: 11 hrs and 45 mins
📖 Ebook Read Using Kindle Unlimited

This was a reasonable audiobook. I would have prefered it to be dual pov narration.

I really liked the premise of this storyline but felt too much backstory was withheld for the reader to fully grasp what's going on.🤷🏻‍♀️

I wanted so much to be thoroughly captivated, but unfortunately, I was left a bit cold.

A bit long winded

I really wanted to like this as I love anything fantasy. But this was a bit frustrating for me and long winded. We are being asked to root for the 2 main protagonists but we don’t actually know anything about ragner at the even at the end of this book and Eileen is hard to picture because the author didn’t actually describe the way she looks plus she’s so annoyingly closed. Neither have redeeming qualities that make me want to root for them.

Then the story is waaaay longer than it needs to be. I’m all for a descriptive book but this is ridiculous and in the end doesn’t describe the important information . Normally I run to the 2nd book but I’m going to leave this story on this book

Fantastic

This is a fantastic and very different take on a vampire book. I absolutely love it and cannot wait for the next one. I read the book then purchased the audio version and listened a week later. Definitely my favourite book of the year so far.
