I went into this book not knowing what to expect. This is simply one of the best audiobook experiences ever. The narration is incredible, they nailed the banter between Rowan and Sloane. The pacing, intonation, and embodiment of the characters is something other audiobook creators should take note of. I laughed, I cried a little, and overall loved the story.

If you love dark romance (with a bit of spice), witty banter, murder and gore, then this is the book for you.

Will definitely be rereading.

This have to be my favourite dark romance book ever. Its pitch black. Bloody, gory and absolutely unhinged.
And SO SO funny 😅 all the LOLs.
But if you are only here for the spice, the book might not be for you, this book is about the romance not the spice. There is some spice though, but it's not pretty. It's just as brutal as the rest of the book.

I’m not usually a fan of dark romance but this one was dark on the side of silly so I really really enjoyed it. Yes, there’s very descriptive scenes of K someone but there’s a lot of humour too. In their line of work you can’t always trust everyone so 4 years of friendship before they acknowledge they love each other out loud is not that long, considering they live in different parts of the country and only see each other once or twice a year.

Joe Arden is brilliant as Rowan. So passionate about his k’ings, his job as a chef and Sloane. Lucy Rivers brought Sloane to life. She’s amazing with this insecure but strong willed character.

Well that was definitely an experience! My first audio book and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Mr Arden’s voice will live in my subconscious mind for a while 😅 what a wild ride!
Note to self - maybe the school pick up line is not the place for audio books, even with headphones!

Did I ever envision myself giggling along with two serial killers as they fall in love and engage in a series of murderous games? No. Did I do just that and maybe fall in love with the characters too? Yes.
