Emotional!
Rosetta provides step-by-step guidance on how to cope with the loss of a parent and how to move forward. She is very understanding and supportive of the emotions that come with such a loss. I found her tips and advice to be very helpful in navigating the difficult emotions that come with the loss of a parent. I would highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who has recently experienced the loss of a parent.
The narrator was the perfect choice for this. Her soothing voice was just so easy to listen to.

Amazing !
I truly enjoyed listening to this book. Even though the title refers to losing a parent, the book touches on other relationship losses, and also has a universal message regarding loss in general.
I particularly enjoyed listening to the stories of various individuals, including the author’s experience of losing her mother. It’s a great tool to encourage us that we are not alone.
Just today my mom called me and told me that a dear friend of ours (and my childhood dentist) lost his only son. I can only imagine what the parents are going through and I am still figuring out how I should reach out to them. This book has definitely helped put some things in perspective regarding the stages of grief when it comes to losing a loved one without any preparation.
The author speaks about anticipatory grief in dealing with the imminence of losing a loved one. Ever since my mom told us about her initial cancer diagnosis almost 15 years ago, there have been times that I’ve expediences anticipatory grief, even as she has to go through chemo and has changed in physical and emotional ways. The author lets us know that it’s OK to have feelings of loss even before we actually experience the physical loss. We can mourn the way the person used to be and that loss is also very real.
I really appreciated the way the author discussed how we should interact with, encourage and assist a dying soul. Bringing calm, peace and security to the person is priceless.
I recommend this book for everyone. Loss is something that almost everyone will have to experience in life. Having a resource like this book will provide the insight and courage that will be needed when we have to go down this road.

Compassionate. Well written.
I wish I had more time with my father. Fifteen years had passed, yet I still burst into tears wishing for the same thing. His absence has left a deep hole in my heart.
I find this book very supportive and therapeutic, written by a compassionate heart. As the author explains, grief is a natural part of life, but it is also essential to embrace loss as it brings new opportunities for living and absolving grief from our lives.
Well written.
If we have the will, we can pull ourselves together and come out strong! Moving forward with the love of our lost loved ones lit our path.
I love this book and highly recommend it!

Find Life and Hope after Loss of Loved Ones.
This book fell into my Library at the perfect time as I was going through the memories of my lost loved ones'. On the occasion of Christmas, when we all feel happiness and joy we also become overwhelmed by the memories of our dear ones who are no more with us.
The author has done a great job in explaining how to navigate grief because sometimes it's there without our realization. The pain and grief eat us inside silently. we have to address this and move on in order to make our lives joyful and hopeful.
I made this promise to myself that I will move out of the sad memories and will remember my loved ones in just good memories.
The voice of the narrator was great as she didn't let me get bored for a minute throughout the whole book. The expressions were given through the voice perfectly. Just loved the book. This book is my new favorite in the library!

Lots to Like
I was drawn to this book as my father passed just over 13 years ago. It was tough for my family as he died abruptly in an accident...and was taken from us way too soon. We were very emotionally unprepared, to say the least. And everyone has their own story, which is why I liked the book. It's written compassionately and has a personal story attached, so it's relatable. I really liked Ch 3 as it deals with relating to and interacting with someone who is dying. I've only experienced this twice in my young childhood with my grandparents, and I really don't remember much. So it was good to hear about this now for any future interactions I may have. Finally, the narrator also does a brilliant job. I found myself being comforted by her voice, which is necessary for this subject matter.

Excellent Resource
We got this book for a friend who recently lost a parent, and the book helps prepare one for any type of grief or loss. It is an excellent resource for anyone who has suffered a major loss. Great content which is presented in a clear and easily-understandable way, and excellent narration too. I particularly found the sections about the five stages of grief and the healing process very interesting, and like the fact that the book also deals with anticipatory grief as well as the impact on children. Well done to Rosetta Fei. Highly recommend!
