About this listen
What if you could see the future with a single touch? What if that touch revealed someone's death, and that person was someone you loved? Would you do everything you could to change it?
In a post-apocalyptic world, where danger roams in many forms, 17-year-old Waverly seeks protection in the town of Crestwood after her boyfriend is ruthlessly killed by lawless raiders. But what she finds is a place wrought with mystery, shady dealings, and more instability than she anticipates.
The Starborn Ascension takes place 57 years before The Starborn Uprising, and can be heard independently.
©2014 Jason D. Morrow (P)2015 Jason D. MorrowI found it quite hard to get into I think this was mainly because of the jumps in the storyline from perspective to perspective. I wasnt completely gripped by the book but I did find it enjoyable.
I think that the characters could have been described in more depth as I wanted to know more about them . I'm sure lots of people will enjoy this book but it just wasnt for me

Other than that, this was a great story, it hooked me and kept my attention throughout. The starting chapter gripped my attention and introduced the future-seeing ability with such an ease that my heart broke for Waverly. I read to see how her story continued, hoping against everything that she would be alright.
Sophie Amoss did a great job with this (with my only issue being the narration characters needing a little more distinction but I do understand that this is a little difficult to do), the character voices she did were well done and clear.
The story flowed well, and there were enough twists to keep my attention and keep me engaged with the story itself. I am looking forward to seeing how the rest of the series is.
