A vengeful ghost comes back to haunt the living?

Agatha the great detective

Fabulous
Another fabulous book by M C Beaton about the adventures of Agatha Raisins and her amateur crime solving. I laugh out loud and try and guess the next move. Just love how she manages to solve the mystery despite the police effort to get her to stop “interfering” I just love it. Penelope Keith is fabulous at keeping the listener glued to the book. Loved it

Fabulous Penelope Keith!
She never fails to entertain with her mastery of character voices and her ability to change from one to another so quickly that you forget it’s all Penelope Keith. What a splendid national treasure she is!

Always and enjoyable listen
Would you listen to Agatha Raisin and the Haunted House again? Why?
I really enjoy Penelope Keith's portrayal of Agatha Raisin. There is something about Agatha in everybody, she is not a perfect heroine and her frailties make her very endearing as a character.
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoy the way that the "heroine"stumbles through her quest and uses instinct to get to the answer
Which character – as performed by Penelope Keith – was your favourite?
Agatha is definitely my favourite character and I am sure she has a little bit of every listener inside her.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would listen to this book at one sitting if I had the time.
Any additional comments?
I enjoy all of MC Beatons books. They are not put into audiobooks quick enough!

Not a bad story but......
The narrators character voices were awful. Especially the Birmingham accent I think she is good in the “upper class “ mode. However, by the end, even that was getting on my nerves.

M C Beaton at her best
Agatha Raisin is as always.... good. So is Penelope Keith reading the story. I cannot imagine anyone else doing the dialogue. Agatha reminds me of myself.

Haunted House and scary ghost.
Penelope Keith is Agatha Raisin and she’s brilliant at giving the characters life. Funny at times makes it really enjoyable to listen and very hard to wait for the ending, but worthwhile.......

Good listen
I didn’t like the new neighbour but sir Charles coming back was great. Over all a very good listen, they are fun and and Agatha is brilliant. Penelope Keith does go over the top sometimes. I do enjoy her enthusiasm though keep looking forward to the next one.
