Summary
What do you do when the person you can’t get out of your head is the son of the man who jilted you 30 years ago? Proceed with caution!
When Dr. Joseph Nielson - aka Doc - walked into his exam room, the last thing he expected to find was the spitting image of the fiance who had hurt him so badly that he’d spent the rest of his adult life as a bitter bachelor.
Marion Harris is a 29-year-old virgin...who happens to be nine months pregnant, thanks to having agreed to be a surrogate for his best friend. After an unlucky year of sorrow, he’s now alone with a child to raise and nowhere else to go but his father’s hometown of MacIntosh Meadows.
After a not-so-great first impression, the two men keep finding themselves pushed together during the holiday season they both hate by a mischievous family who loves them - the MacIntosh clan. Despite every reason they shouldn’t, neither one can find a good enough reason to fight the matchmaking...or the natural attraction they both feel.
This is the fourth book in this heart-warming series and contains a virgin giving birth in a barn, three wise guys in pajamas, and enough holiday feels to keep you smiling into the new year. Pretty much everything you’d expect from a Susi Hawke book.

A Christmas Story
A pregnant virgin is stranded near Christmas and in need of shelter. Stop me if you’ve heard that one before. Except this isn’t Mary, this is Marion. And his companion isn’t the Joseph from the Bible, but Dr. Joseph Nielson, obstetrician extraordinaire. He’s the only doctor working near Christmas and as Marion finds himself stuck and in need of help, Joseph is expected to step in and help. Only problem? Marion reminds Joseph of a painful part of his past. So can he work through the existential crap and help the young expectant father? Time will tell.
I have listened to a bunch of Susi Hawke audios recently and this one was good, although not my favorite. A little cheesy on occasion, but sweet. Marion has come to town to claim his inheritance, not realizing how complicated that will prove to be. He’s also pregnant and about to give birth so, yeah, the kindness of strangers is appreciated – especially the two grandmothers who take him under their wings. Of course there’s the birth in the barn, and the three wise guys in pajamas (and yes, that was definitely funny). There are plenty of laughs and a few sentimental moments as well.
Drew Bacca narrated the story and he did a good job. His narrations and solid and consistent which is important. Overall it was good and I’m glad I listened.

Heart-warming Christmas tale of love and family
I loved this audiobook. Overall, it's pretty low angst, although there is discussion of family members who have died and a previous lover's betrayal that play roles in the characters' development. I really enjoyed seeing the various Macintosh's from the prior books all gathered for the Christmas holiday with all the children. Laurie remains one of my favorite characters with his sensibility and dry wit! The Macintosh grandmas continue to welcome newcomers with open arms, especially those who need help. I loved the fun analogy of Joseph and Mary(ian) in the barn with a baby on Christmas eve. The story is full of humor, crazy Kade, and the ongoing betting on everything by the Macintosh's. All around fun and heart-warming story. The main characters grow and learn new things about the past and the people they thought they knew. old hurts are healed, and a very merry time is had by all.
The narration is good with distinguishable voices given to each character.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook at my request an am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Love this series
Marion and Joseph what a lovely story, well read but even better is the way it's been written by Susi. This book brings the whole family back which is lovely, esp if it's been a while since you last read one of the books.

A Very Merry MacIntosh Christmas.
Marian Harris is very pregnant and needs help, pronto.
His car has broken down and he can barely afford breakfast, never mind getting his car fixed. In the local cafe in MacIntosh Meadows he meets Libby and Dot, the MacIntosh matriarchs. The grannies take over and invite him home. It turns out he;s in MacIntosh Meadows to claim his inheritance, but the grannies have bad news for him.
They take him to the local doctors for a check up, but when Doc Joe Nielson sets eyes on him he has a flashback to years gone by and refuses to treat Marian.
Luckily Joe knows he's being a jerk and gets to know Marian.
The outcome is not unexpected so i'll save you the ending.
Susi Hawke did it again. It was ably narrated by Drew Bacca.

Another great addition to the series
A really enjoyable Christmas story for the Macintosh Meadows series.
A new addition to the town in the form of a heavily pregnant omega named Marion causes a bit of distress for Joseph (Doc) as he's the son of the omega who left him standing at the altar years ago. A relationship slowly builds as Joseph cares for Marion through his pregnancy and the meddling MacIntosh family help them spend more time together in the build up to Christmas.
Susi is great at writing small town romances and keeping the romance fresh between all of the new couples. I enjoyed the Christmas theme, especially with the MC's names and the event leading up to Christmas day. It's a short and sweet read/listen and recommend to any who enjoy mpreg.
Drew Bacca does another wonderful job in narrating the story and characters of MacIntosh Meadows. There are so many people to keep track of and they all have their own personalities which come across perfectly. The emotions come across well throughout and it's a pretty upbeat story has a perfect HEA.

Sweet Christmas love blooms in the Meadows
I love this MacIntosh Meadows series by Susi and Drew Bacca does a wonderful job as always bringing the guys and the feisty grandmas to life. This was a wonderful sweet Christmas tale of a new romance as the characters of Joseph (Doc) and Marion find new reasons to love Christmas after having tragic holidays in their past. This is a cute short listen with the MacIntosh boys and their grandmas meddling. Highly recommended MPreg Christmas novella.

Doc finally!
Hawke has once again given us a delightful tale from MacIntosh Meadows. I have a tender spot for Doc and was delighted that he finally has a story. I love the whole Christmas feel through out the book and Bacca's narration is fantastic. Even though it can be a holiday read, I plan to listen to it anytime of the year.
