Roberta Grieve has always enjoyed writing from a very early age, telling stories and writing plays for her younger siblings. She was a newspaper reporter on local papers for many years, then went into the library service. After 22 years of dealing with other people's books early retirement gave her the opportunity to start writing her own. She has now published a total of 19 novels and novellas, mostly historical romances. Her latest novel 'Farewell Innocence' was inspired by her great great grandfather who was a policeman in London in the 1850s. 'The Blacksmith's Daughter' and 'On Wings of Song' have recently been re-published by Books We Love. She is currently at work on a new novel, 'Song of Memories'. She enjoys doing historical research and is mainly interested in the Victorian and Edwardian periods.
