Robert Henry Benson’s latest novel, Through Both Eyes (2022), is a coming-of-age tale of nerdy identical twin brothers who fall in love with the lovely girl next door. Twin rivalry and mental illness fracture their world and transform lives. Robert’s first novel, The Scarlet Kingfisher: Discovery of a New Species, is an adventure/suspense story set in South Texas, exploring its unique environs and birds. He has written award-winning short stories and serial fiction and has compiled and edited an anthology of modern short fiction. Additionally, Robert has written how-to manuals on nature photography and many journal articles on scientific topics, from cosmic ray physics to sperm whales in the Gulf of Mexico. He is retired from a career as a professor of physics and now lives on a small farm in South Texas, where he writes, grows plants, dabbles in winemaking, and maintains a modest vineyard.
