Liz Carter lives in Shropshire, and writes a combination of fiction and non-fiction material, and poetry. She is resident poet for her local town. She is most passionate about communicating the love of God to others, especially to those who feel that life has delivered difficult circumstances, sadness, or ill-health. Liz is the author of 'Valuable' (The Good Book Company, 2023), a reflection on how we are valued because of who we are, not what we do; 'Treasure in Dark Places' (Capstone House, 2020), a collection of stories and poems exploring searching for hope when it hurts; 'Create' (2022), a prayer/gratitude journal based around God's creativity; and 'Catching Contentment' (IVP, 2018), an exploration into how we can all take hold of contentment - even in the midst of pain and brokenness. She's also written a study guide to accompany 'Catching Contentment'; an advent devotional, 'Advent Treasure'; and 'A Tale of Beauty from Ashes', which is a six-session Bible Study based around the live action film 'Beauty and the Beast' (2017). Check out her website: http://www.greatadventure.carterclan.me.uk/ When Liz was a teen, she discovered her love for editing when her parents wrote a book displaying their over-fondness for the use of the exclamation mark. She undertook her first editing project, and that book became 'Angels on the Walls' by Wallace and Mary Brown which became a bestseller, published by Kingsway. Recently, Liz formatted this book - which tells the story of her parents' ministry in a tough place, and part of her story, too - for Kindle, and it's now available for purchase in the Kindle store. Liz now works as a freelance editor and designer - see her website for details.
