AUTHOR BIO Lillianne Bowersock's remarkable journey as an educator in Special Education is a testament to her unwavering dedication and perseverance. As one of the pioneering students to major in this field at Marshall University, she has played a vital role in integrating students with disabilities into regular classrooms. Her enthusiastic adoption of AI technology as a team teacher underscores her commitment to providing the best education for her students. Lillianne Bowersock resides in Huntington, WV, and has been teaching for Cabell County Schools for 35 years. She received a full scholarship to major in Special Education at Marshall University, a decision that proved to be fortuitous as it allowed her to be part of a national effort to include students with disabilities in regular classrooms. She continues to be a part of the ongoing effort to integrate these unique students into regular classrooms. As a team teacher with a general education instructor, Lillianne works with 4-6 students, making the curriculum more accessible at various levels of learning. AI technology enables her to create customized explanations of the material to their level in just moments, ultimately helping them succeed. In addition to her role as an educator, Lillianne is a mother of three adult children, an artist who teaches small children art in her spare time, and a passionate gardener with a love for cultivating beautiful houseplants. She is also an avid reader and shares her passion for art as a guide at the Huntington Museum of Art, where she assists local classroom groups and their teachers through various activities, instilling both a love for art and an understanding of how to observe, analyze, and appreciate art.
