Katherine Tirado-Ryen is a Puerto Rican author of emotionally resonant fiction, writing across genres from women’s fiction and memoir to epic fantasy. Her work explores identity, legacy, and the hidden strength of ordinary people thrust into extraordinary circumstances. Her stand-alone novels include Forgetting Me (a BookLife Editor’s Pick), Two Weeks of Summer (a Kirkus “Get It Now” title and Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award semi-finalist), and The Secrets Inside (an Indies Today semi-finalist). When her son was born three months early, writing became her lifeline. That experience inspired a series of essays published in Pregnancy & Newborn. Her other nonfiction work has appeared in ¡Hola Arkansas!, the Northwest Arkansas Times, and for Ohio’s WIC program and Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps. She is currently working on a sweeping epic fantasy trilogy set in a matriarchal world shaped by legacy, magic, and fate. When she’s not wrangling life with her husband and three sons, she’s busy dreaming up new worlds—and writing her next book.
