Jennifer Grant is the author of several books for adults, including "When Did Everybody Else Get So Old?" and "Dimming the Day." She also writes for children. Her first picture book, "Maybe God is Like That Too" released in February 2017 and won a Moonbeam Spirit gold medal for excellence in children's literature. It was also named an FOREWORD Indie book of the year finalist. "Maybe I Can Love My Neighbor Too" released in May 2019 and is an official gold standard Junior Library Guild selection. Her picture book on grief, "A Little Blue Bottle" released in August 2020 and, in October 2021, her picture book about how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected us, "Once Upon a Time Not So Long Ago," launched. "Finding Calm in Nature" was published in 2023. Beautifully illustrated by Erin Brown and published by Beaming Books, the book has won multiple awards for nature writing. Upcoming books for children include "Consider the Birds," "Consider the Lilies," and "Consider the Night," published by Eerdmans Books for Young Readers and illustrated by Julianna Swaney. The first book in the Consider series, "Consider the Birds," is available for preorder now and releases in August 2025. Grant is a promiscuous reader who (usually) finishes what she starts, and is just as likely to be found reading "Dinosaur Bob" as Kate Chopin. She received her master's degree in English literature with concentrations in fiction writing and critical theory from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She is a dual citizen of Canada and the U.S., is an aspiring potter, and lives in Chicago with her husband. More online at jennifergrant.com.
