Esteban Navarro Soriano (Moratalla, Murcia, March 18, 1965) is a Spanish writer of crime novels and detective novels. He was a National Police agent from 1994 to 2018. His third novel, La noche de los peones, was one of the six finalists selected for the Nadal Prize in 2013. His fourth novel, El buen padre, won the Saramago La Balsa de Piedra Prize in 2011. His novel La cuarta memoria was awarded the Lloret Negre Festival as the best crime novel published in 2022. Random House considered him at the time one of the great names in current crime fiction, after publishing Los crímenes del abecedario. Since 2012 he has been considered the writer who coined the term Kindle Generation.
