Ellen Moyer, PhD, is an environmental consultant with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, a master’s degree in environmental engineering, and a doctorate in civil engineering. She is a registered professional engineer as well as a US Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional. For four decades, her work has focused on assessing and remediating contaminated soil and groundwater, protecting drinking water supplies, and developing sustainable solutions to complex problems. She has co-presented more than 100 seminars in North America and Europe. Her publications include more than 40 articles and three books: Our Earth, Our Species, Our Selves: How to Thrive While Creating a Sustainable World, MTBE Remediation Handbook, and The Economics of Leak Detection and Repair: A Case Study Approach. When she is not advocating for her clients and the environment, Ellen enjoys creating art in many forms, including drawings, paintings, pottery, photographs, and fabric designs. She lives in Massachusetts.
