Chris R. Armstrong (Ph.D., Duke University; M.A., Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary) is Senior Editor of Christian History magazine and has served as Program Fellow for Faith, Work, and Economics at the Kern Family Foundation, Waukesha, WI, founding director of Opus: The Art of Work at Wheaton College (IL), founding director of Work with Purpose at Bethel Seminary (MN), and professor of church history at Bethel Seminary. Chris has written Medieval Wisdom for Modern Christians: Finding Authentic Faith in a Forgotten Age (2016) and Patron Saints for Postmoderns (2010). He blogs at https://hwol.substack.com/. He is currently writing his third book, Fully Human: A Brief History of Faith & Flourishing. Chris is married to Sharon, and they have five children: Kate, Caleb, Grace, Ross, and John Allen.
