Amir Husain is an entrepreneur, AI technologist, and author based in Austin, Texas. He receives Austin’s Top Entrepreneur award, UT Austin’s Presidential Citation, and is a member of its College of Natural Sciences Hall of Honor. His ventures have appeared on CNBC’s Fastest Growing Companies and the World Economic Forum’s Unicorn list. Amir serves as Chairman of WorldQuant Foundry; SpecFive, a mesh networking company; Argon, a humanoid robotics company; and Navigate, a decentralized data platform. He is on the President’s Advisory Board and the Computer Science Advisory Board at UT Austin, and the Board of Global Venture Bridge. Amir founded SparkCognition (now Avathon), which became an AI unicorn under his leadership, as well as SGS and SkyGrid, a Boeing JV. He holds 30+ patents in AI and distributed systems and served on NATO’s Innovation Advisory Board. He is the author of The Sentient Machine, Generative Art, Generative AI for Leaders, and the upcoming The Cybernetic Society.
