The Zen Buddhist teacher and writer Haemin Sunim visits the Audible Studios to discuss The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down: How to Be Calm in a Busy World. With over three million copies of his book sold worldwide and more than a million followers on social media, Haemin Sunim is one of the world's most influential Buddhist teachers. He shares his journey from South Korea to Harvard and back again in his own words and explains why life at a slower pace would be better for us all.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Alex Bertie, YouTube vlogger of his transgender journey and author of Trans Mission: My Quest to a Beard. When Alex was born, doctors took one look and put an 'F' for female on the birth certificate, based on genitals. When Alex was 15 he realised he was a transgender man, through many years of struggling with identity. After coming out to family and friends, Alex battled the health-care system in order to take male hormones, have surgery, change his name and grow a beard.

Known to us affectionately as Grimmy, he has been a part of our daily lives since reaching his childhood dream of presenting on BBC Radio 1 in 2007. Having hosted the Radio 1 Breakfast show, taken over the Drive Time slot, and appeared on our screens in The X Factor and Gogglebox, Nick Grimshaw has become a household name.

Born and raised in Bradford, Rani moved to London with a goal to pursue a career in broadcasting. She is now a lead presenter on Countryfile, regularly presents on Radio 2 and hosts Woman's Hour on Radio 4 every week. Rani has now penned her powerful memoir, The Right Sort of Girl.

This critically acclaimed British writer of Pakistani descent is the author of some of the most recognised postcolonial literature in the world, including The Buddha of Suburbia, which won the Whitbread Award for best first novel, and to screenplay for My Beautiful Laundrette. Hanif Kureishi talks to us about his feelings on writing and teaching it, his love of long-form TV series and what it was like to start writing at a time in which art had to be shocking.

Joining us at the Audible Studios is veterinary surgeon and presenter Noel Fitzpatrick. Perhaps better known as the Supervet, he has now penned an autobiography - Listening to the Animals: Becoming the Supervet. Ty Franck and Daniel Abraham both live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they met through mutual friends and began writing and gaming together. Having already built the world of The Expanse for a game (it was initially created for an MMORPG pitch), the pair set out on a task to bring the world to life through fiction. Their first novel, Leviathon Wakes, was published in 2011 and was nominated for the 2012 Hugo Boss Award for Best Novel and the 2012 Locus Award for Best Science Fiction Novel.
