Joining us at the Audible studios is Sir Lenny Henry, actor, writer, presenter and comedian. Henry has spent decades in the British public eye on television, on our radios, big screens and as a stand-up comedian, often touring internationally. He co-founded Comic Relief in 1985 and has taken part in almost every year’s show since then, the charity raising over £1 billion so far! Henry has documented his career in his books, and most recently penned Rising to the Surface, which takes a look at his hectic life during the ‘80s and ‘90s.

In this interview Robin Ince touches on some of these questions, looks back at how childhood experiences still affect him and enthuses about the latest books he’s read. Joining us in the Audible Studios to discuss his latest book, The Winning Formula, is British former Formula 1 driver turned presenter and entrepreneur David Coulthard. Winning 13 grand prix races during his career as a F1 driver, Coulthard spent many years as a leader in the world of motorsports. As well as running his production company, Whisper Films, and making his mark in the property business, Coulthard now commentates and copresents on Channel 4’s F1 coverage and has written his book, The Winning Formula, about the business of sport.

In 2008, Cain began playing football for Coventry City but in 2012 he had to give up football after an injury put an end to his career. Joining us at Audible Studios is Tade Thompson, one of science fiction’s most exciting new voices, and author of Rosewater. Thompson is releasing The Wormwood trilogy which documents an alien biodome in Nigeria and the city built around it, desperate for the biodome’s rumored healing powers. Book one of the series, Rosewater, received multiple award nominations and book two, The Rosewater Insurrection has been much anticipated. Thompson writes alongside his work as a hospital psychiatrist.

Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about his latest book, Me and the Table, is former professional snooker player and current commentator for the BBC and ITV Stephen Hendry. Best known for dominating snooker in the 1990s. He won the World Championship seven times, became the youngest professional snooker player aged 16 in 1985 and, in 1990, was the youngest-ever world champion at the age of 21. His autobiography, Me and the Table, was published in September 2018.

Joining us at Audible Studios is scientist and broadcaster Adam Rutherford. Rutherford is the presenter of BBC Radio 4's Inside Science, as well as author of a number of books, including How to Argue with a Racist. Adam Rutherford spoke to us about his latest publication, How to Argue with a Racist, and we discussed the history of genetics, race being a social construct, his thoughts on ancestry testing kits and more.
