As those that returned to Earth continue to prepare for Ty and Samira's wedding, Eden encounters a group of women from the university who are startled to see her, but will not tell her why. Suspicious that they know what is happening, she goes to the laboratory to confront Ryan and discovers that the motivations behind him sending her to Uoria are far more complex than she could have imagined.

It has come time for the Denynso men to say goodbye to their mates as they prepare for their journey through Uoria. Each spends some special time with the woman that he loves, and each of the women have a token of their adoration for their man so that he can think of her when he is away from home. These special gifts perfectly exemplify who the women are, and the men tuck them away gratefully, happy that they will still have tangible reminders of their mates during their journey.

Across Uoria, secrets are being revealed, as Lila, Maxim, and Creia continue to dig into the past to understand what happened on the planet years before and what might happen if they don't work to stop it. As they finally unveil who has captured Creia and why, they realize that they need to leave Uoria in order to have a chance to save it.

As the group on Earth plans their trip to the Orion Corporation factory, Aubrey is concerned that Ilya is making the wrong decision in coming along with them. Ilya, however, insists that this is something that she needs to do. They know that there is something in that factory that holds meaning to her beyond what she will tell them, and together, they must make the journey to discover the answers that they all seek.

Zsilvia is still struggling with her feelings for George as tortured memories of her past keep her from accepting that he is her intended mate and allowing herself to give in to his attention. Instead, she has separated herself from him and spends her time observing his efforts with the rest of the women to find a solution to the locked people in the settlement. An emotional conversation with Eden makes her start to question her own fears and think that she may be ready to take the next step with George. However, the surprising arrival of another shuttle makes her rethink everything.

Bannack has been devoted to battle his entire life, but there is something that he knows is far more important to him, and he doesn't want to wait any longer. Remembering the question that he had asked when he first bonded with Loralia, he starts planning to give her the tying ceremony that she has always wanted. Even though it can't be anything that either of them ever imagined, he knows now that there is no such thing as a perfect moment, and that they truly have everything that they need.

The threat of the Covra gone, the Denynso are trying to help the Light Ones pick up the pieces and move forward. As Lynx spends more time with Rain he realizes that as deeply as he loves her, he doesn't really know much about her. Together they decide that it is time that they all talk about what happened and try to understand how this situation came to be. As they are gathering in the meeting hall with everyone else now in the settlement, two of their number are missing.

Jonah is still reeling from his encounter with Aubrey in the lab and the sudden way that she ran away from him, but he knows that he can't let thoughts of her distract him. There is still so much work to do, and now that he is alone again, he needs to work even harder. When Aubrey shows up again, he wonders if it is more than professional curiosity that draws her to him. Together they keep digging, discovering new details that seem to make the situation more confusing rather than bringing them closer to clarity.

As the group copes with what they have discovered in the hidden wing of the basement, Samira and Ty uncover something that forces Jacob to come face to face with his past. Rilex struggles to come to terms with what Ryan has done, especially when he learns something about the intriguing woman who pled for Eden's help, that starts him reevaluating everything that he has thought and felt.

In his short time back on Earth Jacob has realized that his unlikely friendship with Jem has led him into something he could never have imagined, but that something within him is driving him to stay and join the fight. In an instant Jacob is confronted with his past and with a future that he might not ever be able to have. With the battle with the hybrids over, most of the group is recovering and working to heal the wounded, but Eden can't get the voice of the dying hybrid out of her head.

The Covra seem to be gone, but Loralia's cryptic warning is still lingering with the men. As Ciyrs works on healing Ty and Vax and Lynx searches his dreams for Rain, all of the men know that the time is counting down on their ability to save all of the Light Ones. Without knowing what they were thinking or why they chose to lock the people of the settlement rather than killing them, however, they worry that they won't be able to release them from their binds in time.

On Earth, getting inside the factory proves difficult, and once they are inside, Ilya's memories of the first time that she was there bring to light a struggle that she has been facing in silence, while spending time with Mordecai creates feelings that she didn't think she would ever experience again.

As Jonah continues to delve into what the mysterious patient files and the pristine examination room in the abandoned medical ward might mean, his mind keeps wandering back to the woman he encountered in the hallway outside of the lab. It was only a brief encounter, but one that left a lasting impression. When he sees her again, it might have lasting influence on the work that he is trying to accomplish and the life that he may have now that he is back on Earth.

The groups have divided like they never have before. Maxim, Ivy, and Kyven have made the decision to go back to the Mikana kingdom to unravel the mystery of their father's death and understand more about the order. Accompanied by a few of the humans from the settlement, as well as Denynso warriors and a few of the Mikana, they head out into a journey out of which none of them really know what to expect.

Zuri can't believe she let herself fall into the arms of the arrogant jerk who thinks that she is too big to be respected. Now that she's slept with Ero in the heat of the moment, she knows she can't stay on Uoria any longer. The combination of the Klimnu attack, the insulting jokes, and the fact that she can't stop thinking about the beautiful warrior and wishing she was back in his arms is enough to make her run, and she does, right back to Earth. Is this the end of Ero and Zuri?

Ciyrs continues to lose his mind until he finds Eliana. However, she's come with another woman who is unconscious. No one can figure out what happened and he can't get her to wake up. Neither can Eden. Eliana feels so many things. She's happy she was saved, but she can't stop thinking about the woman she saved. Something about the woman calls to her, but in the meantime she has to deal with the fact that her mate is connected to Eden, and that means so is she. There are too many emotions to take. It's time for the Denynso to fight back.

After an attack by the Klimnu, Eden's knocking on death's door. Pyra rushes her to the Denynso healer, and it turns out he has to do more than heal her. He has to bring her back to life. It's the first in Denynso history, and no one knows what to expect or how things will go for Eden. A side effect of the healer's gift is a link bonding them together forever. Pyra is struggling to deal with his mate's attachment to Ciyrs and doesn't know what to do. The more he fights it the more the wall between him and Eden grows....
