About this listen

Alfie Brown (disgraced comedian) and Jessie Cave (Trollied, Sky One) are a couple and this is their podcast. Both experts in self-excavation and unvarnished conversation, this podcast is an exercise in trying to get to the route of something, however uncomfortable it might be.Copyright 2025 Alfie Brown and Jessie Cave Parenting & Families Relationships Social Sciences

I've been such a big fan listening to every episode, but just don't feel aligned in the way you're both talking about Alfie's "cancellation". you both continuously distance yourself from the impacts and implications of Alfie's racism. it doesn't feel that either of you have done deep work understanding your own fragility, whiteness or how you've absorbed systematic racism. instead you want to focus on others who used the same language or jokes, and justify Alfie as being "really great", which isn't necessary.

I have really enjoyed listening until now, but as someone working in racial justice, you both appear to be incredibly self absorbed and focussed in centering yourselves.

I have to stop listening
