Perhaps being unable to sculpt his own destiny, he one day decided to take matters into his own hands - the matter in this case being literal rocks and pebbles he found along his delivery routes - and began sculpting a wondrous palace that would be his legacy.

We all know the story of Bonnie and Clyde, but many of us are unfamiliar with the bandit couple Maria Bonita and Lampião.

Their story takes place in the 1920s and 1930s in the Brazilian Northeast, which was riddled with violence, corruption and poverty. Growing up in this harsh reality, Maria Bonita decided to create her own path, against the grain of patriarchy. She met the famous bandit leader Lampião, jumped on the back of a horse, and followed love with a gun in hand.
