The Spanish Armada set sail for England with the hope of invading, removing Queen Elizabeth I and reinstating Catholicism.


    Yet the English were ready - engaging and pursuing them in the Channel. It meant the Spanish were forced to flee into the North Sea and navigate back home via the Northern British and Irish coast. It was disastrous, leading to many ships being lost, and the conquest of England was over. This is History Undone.
