About this listen
Merl Guth started learning his family trade as a six-year-old. The Guth family name is synonymous with excellence with Idaho's Outfitters and Guides. By the time he was 15, Merl was expertly running boats down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. Growing up in that environment taught many life lessons - not least of which was how to work hard and get things done. Those lessons invariably followed Merl into his adult life and business. Listen-in and hear some tales of life and learning gained from experience in Idaho's back-country. Skills and values associated with hard work are learned in youth.
