The landau driver stood outside Prestatyn railway station, watching the early morning commuters. His attention was drawn to a young woman darting down the high street. She stopped beside his carriage and asked him to take her to a nearby farm. Her behaviour was erratic, and William wasn’t sure he wanted to drive her anywhere until she told him, “My mistress is lying on the floor. She’s very ill”...

Following a call to the emergency services just before 5 PM on February 22nd, 2023, the police, and paramedics from the East Midlands Ambulance Service, were dispatched to a property on Queens Park Way in Leicester. They found an elderly man lying on the kitchen floor, bleeding profusely from a deep wound to his chest. His ex-wife had witnessed the attack, and the suspect had been seen fleeing the area by several other witnesses. Still, no one knew who he was or why he had targeted 79-year-old Gerald Wickes…

The house finally fell silent. A few minutes later, Maria hesitantly opened her bedroom door and looked out onto the landing. Daniel, who also shared the property, was standing outside holding a mobile phone in a white-gloved hand. He locked eyes with Maria and told her: "Go back into your room and lock the door. I'm calling the police"...

Living in the UK myself and being obsessed with true crime, this was exactly the show I wanted to follow. Great job!

Great stories but ruined by ads

I've been following this podcast now for several years. The research and delivery are great. There's often crimes I'd not heard of, so it's interesting to hear new stories. However the adverts are becoming ridiculous. There's several minutes now at the start of every one, and another ad break during the reading. As someone who already pays 7.99 a month for audible I don't want to listen to adverts. It's annoying when it ruins the flow of the reading and especially spoils it if you're listening at night, as the ads usually contain music or loud voices. Considering quitting this one now, as I'm not going to pay more money on top to their separate subscription

Poor narration

The voice is very slow and monotone
I’m sure it’s interesting but I couldn’t cope listening to it

Good but...

The narration was very monotonous. It sounds a lot like an AI generated voice and this kind of spoils the whole thing.

Great listen

I’ve followed this podcast via Apple for the last couple of years. Always with good and interesting cases. Recommend to anyone who is interested in true crime.

Brilliant podcast

I really enjoy listening to these podcasts. I originally found them on YouTube but now follow on audible. The episodes are thorough, detailed and well thought out. They are a good length as I spend a lot of time in the car and out on walks. I enjoy the quiet time to reflect and get really absorbed by the stories. Some are very sad, but are told in a way that is sympathetic to the innocent parties involved. I look toward to the new episodes coming soon. Thank you.

Very interesting!

I like the way that the story is explained each time it doesn’t give too much information straight away so that you get bored
