David and I recorded these mini reviews of the 1991 NBC Revival "Dark Shadows" right after the new year! With our normal yearly schedule I didn't have time to edit them....until now!

"Victoria Winters arrives at Collinwood, a Gothic mansion on a cliff overlooking the ocean near the small Maine seaport town of Collinsport. She is the recently hired governess to troubled 10-year-old David Collins. David's gruff father, Roger, distrusts her, but his mysterious widowed sister Elizabeth is more hospitable. The simple and trouble-making groundskeeper, Willie Loomis, nephew of Collinwood housekeeper Mrs. Johnson, is convinced of an old Collins family legend of buried treasure and breaks into the Collins family crypt, accidentally releasing vampire Barnabas Collins from his tomb. Barnabas introduces himself as a distant relative from England and begins to romance Victoria. At the same time, the town of Collinsport is beset by a series of deadly attacks."

We have reached the last episode of our Video Game Summer with 1989's "Sweet Home" which was released alongside a video game of the same title (and the game that inspired the "Resident Evil" series!)

"A small film crew visits the old, abandoned mansion of famous artist Ichirō Mamiya, who left several precious frescos inside his house. The team wants to restore and publish the paintings and film a documentary about Mamiya and his arts. The team includes Kazuo, his daughter Emi, producer Akiko, photographer Taguchi and art restorer Asuka. After they enter the mansion, paranormal events betray the presence of a poltergeist!"

Today we cover a favorite of Rob's "Brainscan" the horror movie about an interactive CD-ROM video game from 1994! Before that we talk about Rob starting to watch the 80's inspired (recently ended) "The Goldbergs" sitcom. (2013-2023)

"After a car accident killed his mother and permanently injured his leg, teenager Michael Brower lives an isolated existence in his absent father's mansion. He spends his spare time watching his neighbor and crush, Kimberly. A horror films and video games fan, Michael's only friend is a similar-minded misfit named Kyle. They are members of the school's Horror Club, which draws the principal's ire. After Kyle tells him about a new, ultra-realistic game called Brainscan, Michael mail-orders the first disc."
