This is for you!

Hats off to these boys for making a football show, that is not just a Premier League sideshow! Honest to goodness, it is quality stuff, from top to bottom of the leagues. Classic!

Seeing as Baker and Lineker have moved on...

There are loads of football podcasts and my favourite was Baker and Lineker's 'Behind Closed Doors'. After that podcast closed its doors for good I looked around for an alternative and found 'Famous Sloping Pitch'. I'm glad I did. After a couple of only 'okay' early episodes it really finds its feet. It's excellent.

Nick Hancock and Chris England are two slightly curmudgeonly, old school footie fans lamenting the changes in the game. 'Famous Sloping Pitch' is a mix of opinion, the anecdotal, and the topical with both performers coming across as knowledgeable and passionate about the game. Each episode features a different guest so obviously the humour quaotient can vary from week to week, but thankfully, so far, the great episodes have easily outweighed the merely good. Definitely one to follow.
