Our first topic is whether award shows are even necessary. Art’s Hollywood dream must be fading as he’s sick of the drama. Pun intended. At the very least they’re not handing out participation trophies... yet.

Our second topic is if we’d be tempted to “sell out” if nominated for an Academy Award. Props to Mike who’s going to be steadfast in his convictions (and stick it to the man!) and never sellout. Meanwhile, Producer Kenny would sell his soul for an eclair.

Our third topic is why it always seems the Academy of Motion Pictures ignores the obvious choices. We thought Lex was talking about Avengers: Endgame, but he’s still smarting from the fact Drop Dead Fred didn’t receive a single nomination in 1991. womp womp

Our final topic is controversial Oscars hosts. Seth MacFarlane sang a song about boobs a few years ago, so we’ve probably hit the bottom of the barrel, right? Not so says Al, who wants to know just how awkward this star-studded event can get. Can’t we just hire Bobcat Goldthwait and move on?

Our first topic is what food stuffs we’re nostalgic for. Kate, it’s probably best not to ask the crew this question when we’re operating on an empty stomach, just an FYI. Did someone mention Hostess Fruit Pies? For the live of God, please tell me someone mentioned Hostess Fruit Pies!?

Our second topic is related to anemoia. That is, nostalgia for a time you’ve never known. Apparently, Art is sick of us teasing him about his film topics, so he’s making us pull out a f*cking Webster’s, just to figure out what he’s even asking about. Producer Kenny, don’t make us jettison you as well...

Our third topic is something you loved in your youth... only to realize it sucks now. We all look back on the way things used to be with rose-tinted glasses, be it prior relationships or memories from our youth. For example, Lex’s love of Picture Pages, Fat Albert and The Cosby Show, have definitely taken a wrong turn. Jinkees!

Our final topic is your go-to nostalgia that raises your spirits. So, Todd saw the name of our podcast, correct? Ain’t nothing out there that can rescue us from the doldrums of this dreary existence. That us, nothing other than Hostess Fruit Pies. Seriously though, does anyone know if those massive/delicious f*ckers are still around?
