Para hacer esto más claro, consideremos por un momento el miembro individual de AA. La fe por sí sola no lo salva. El tiene que actuar, tiene que hacer algo. Tiene que llevar su mensaje a otros, practicar los principios de AA en todos sus asuntos. Si no lo hace así, recae, se marchita y muere. Consideremos ahora un grupo de AA. ¿Es posible que la pura fe, la mera creencia en unos principios correctos y unas tradiciones sanas, hagan que el grupo tenga éxito? Ni mucho menos. Cada grupo de AA, como tal, también tiene que funcionar, tiene que hacer algo. Tiene que servir para su fin asignado o, si no, también se marchita y se desintegra.
