  • The Power Of My Words
    Nov 4 2024
Welcome to the very first long-form episode of My Happy Ass Life! Today, I'm excited to share this journey of growth in mind, body, and spirit. In this debut episode, I discuss why and how we’re moving from daily affirmations to this extended podcast format. We explore how life's transitions call for changes in our routines and how stepping out of the comfort zone leads to more profound transformation.

I share stories from my life, from standing in the bathtub at age six giving motivational speeches (inspired by Prowl Shampoo, no less!) to finding solace in affirmations as a child growing up in an alcoholic home. We also tackle some big concepts—like the transformative power of forgiveness, gratitude, and learning to let go of limiting beliefs that hold us back. Through humor, vulnerability, and honesty, this episode is about understanding how every moment, even the challenging ones, can shape us into our happiest selves.

We also discuss why words matter. Words have the power to build, to heal, and to inspire. Whether it’s "praise at the pump" while filling up on gas or choosing affirmations that nurture our spirits, this episode reminds us all that the narratives we create for ourselves can shape our reality.

    Key Highlights:
[03:00] The origin of daily affirmations and how My Happy Ass Life began.
[06:30] Childhood moments that inspired the love for motivational speaking.
[12:00] Growing up in a tumultuous home and finding refuge in books and affirmations.
[15:00] Praise at the Pump: Turning mundane tasks into moments of gratitude.
[22:00] The immense power of forgiveness—how it’s for you more than anyone else.
[28:00] Why a gracious spirit can transform your interactions, even on tough days.
[33:00] Taking care of our bodies, embracing imperfections, and loving the skin we’re in.
[42:00] Mishaps and "not-haps": How embracing our mistakes helps us grow.
[47:00] The magic of Mondays and why embracing the "do-over" is powerful.
[53:00] The sheer power of words: Choosing language that heals and inspires.

  • Redefining Stregth With Dr. Jenn Burg
    Nov 4 2024
What if the strength you’ve always sought is actually what’s keeping you stuck? Imagine if real growth means letting go of what feels comfortable and embracing the uncertainty that comes with change. In this first episode of Season 4, I sit down with my amazing coach, Dr. Jenn Burg, to talk about what strength really means.

Plus, we talk about the importance of asking for help, why it can be so difficult, and how it can lead to unexpected growth.

We also discuss the popular GLP-1 medications, their pros and cons, and how to think about health and weight management in a healthy, balanced way. If you’re ready to discover what true strength means, focus on what really matters, and embrace a more meaningful life, this episode is packed with insights you won’t want to miss.

  • Season 4 Trailer - Growing Together, Weekly
    Nov 1 2024
Hey, y’all! 🎉 Thanks for waking up with a Happy Ass! This season, we’re shifting from daily affirmations to weekly episodes, letting us dive even deeper into what makes life brighter, sweeter, and more purposeful. 🌞

Four and a half years ago, during the COVID days, a friend nudged me to share my daily affirmations online, and I thought, "Why not?" So, we started gathering each morning, lifting each other up, sharing life lessons, and kicking off the day with positive energy. From that first post, we grew together, Monday through Friday, for 10-minute bursts of joy. And it’s been a beautiful journey! But as life does, things changed, and so did my heart’s calling.

Now, it's time to evolve! Season 4 brings a longer, richer format where we’ll go beyond affirmations and dive into real, heartfelt discussions. And I’m so excited because this season, I’m bringing along all my favorite people as guests! Expect inspiring conversations that feed the mind, body, and spirit—and help make the world a bit brighter!

Look for new episodes every Monday (unless it’s a holiday week). I’m pouring all my love into this season, and I can’t wait to share it with you. Let’s grow together and, as always, be sweet, y’all! 💛
