Conoció a Frederic Chopin, pudoroso y tímido, que era ya un músico consagrado. Se enamoraron y pasaron tres meses en Mallorca para mejorar la débil salud de Chopin y vivir su amor sin pasar por la iglesia. Aquella estancia dió origen a un libro de Sand, a muchas obras musicales de Chopin y a un mito que llega hasta hoy. Participa Luis Ángel de Benito, profesor del Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, y realizador en Radio Clásica de Radio Nacional de España.
