  • Summary

  • It’s only in the last decade that palaeontologists have finally agreed on the events that led to the demise of (most of) the dinosaurs - a huge asteroid strike in what we now know as the Yucatan Peninsular in Mexico.

Ben presents the evidence built up over the last 40 years. He also learns why birds might have been spared and what the fall of the dinosaurs meant for today’s most dominant group - the mammals.

More episodes, please

Best listen in a while. It’s so versatile and insightful. The topics explored are not what you’d expect in the best possible way. Please do more episodes because it’s so so so so good.

Really enjoyable

I’m more interested in the oceans than dinosaurs however I found this podcast more user friendly than the other one on oceans, so make of that what you will. However this was another really enjoyable and interesting listen.

Very interesting

Really enjoyed this podcast, excellent narration and story line, not sure if the title is a little misleading as the information sometimes felt it was pitched at children but either way a great listen, can we please have a follow up podcast

Fantastic. My kids will think I’m a genius

I think this is a perfect podcast. In fact I think it elevated the format. I can see listening to this for life with my kids as they will get more out of it each time they go back. Brilliant. A family heirloom
