Bubba's Comedy

  • Summary

  • Hi, I'm Stephen James, and welcome to my podcast, Bubba's Comedy.

My life motto: If there's a chance for something to go wrong it will, but my luck it will always go wrong at the most opportune time

I fell in love with stand-up comedy in 2012, captivated from the very first show. Bonding with fellow comedians every weekend, I knew I'd found my calling. They say to make God laugh, tell Him your plans, and indeed, in 2015, my trajectory changed dramatically. I was no longer just a comedian; I became a survivor, enduring gun violence that left me shot in the face. After years of physical recovery and speech therapy, I began the ongoing battle with PTSD and depression. Yet, it's on stage that I truly thrive, spreading joy and lifting spirits. In my podcast, I share my journey back to comedy and my renewed lease on life, while my guests share their own stories of resilience on the unpredictable road of life.
