    ഒരുപാട് പ്രതീക്ഷകളോടെ നാമെന്നും കാത്തിരിക്കും,

     മാധുര്യമൂറുന്നൊരു ഫലത്തിനായ്....  

    പക്ഷേ...., 

    ഓരോ ഋതുക്കളിലും അവ മോഹിപ്പിച്ച്,  

    ഇലകൾ പൊഴിച്ച്, 

    നിരാശയുടെ പടുകുഴിയിലേക്ക് നമ്മെ തള്ളിയിടും... 

    നാം കൊടുക്കുന്ന വെള്ളവും വളവും വലിച്ചെടുത്ത് 

    നമ്മിലെ തിളക്കം കെടുത്തും..  

    അപ്പോഴേക്കും 

    വെട്ടിമാറ്റാൻ കഴിയാത്തത്രയും ആഴത്തിൽ   

    വേരുകൾ നമ്മിലേക്ക് ആഴ്ന്നിറങ്ങിയിട്ടുണ്ടാവും...  

    കായ്കനികളില്ലെങ്കിലും,

     തണലെങ്കിലും കിട്ടിയാൽ മതിയെന്ന ചിന്തയിൽ  

    നാമതിനെ വീണ്ടും സ്നേഹിച്ചു പരിപാലിക്കും ... 

    മഴയും വേനലും വന്നു പോയതറിയാതെ ,  

    നാം കാത്തിരിപ്പ് തുടർന്നു കൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കും........
