About this listen

In this scripted Audible Original, five mentally ill teenagers in an inpatient wilderness program during the apocalypse face not only the end of the world, but also the end of their prescriptions. Now, they have to figure out what’s real and what’s just a side effect, and keep their wits about them as they fight for their lives and their minds. Apocalypse Untreated is a multi-part, post-apocalyptic thriller brought to life with world class sound design, and performance. The story moves between real-time action, audio diaries, and archival therapy sessions as our central characters struggle for survival in a deteriorating world.

Apocalypse Untreated is created by Gaby Dunn, an actor, podcaster, LGBTQ activist and New York Times best-selling author and focuses on themes of survival, queer identity, and mental health. Also starring Chanel Ali (Girl Code), Jes Tom (Soojung Dreams of Fiji), Adam Faison (Everything’s Going to Be Ok), and a full cast.

The device of using mental health and reliance on medication in the face of an apocalypse was great. Really enjoyable story, I just really hope there’s a season 2 as the ending was pretty unsatisfying!

Great story and great cast

I loved the fact that it touched upon the horrible struggle each person went through with their mental health and explained in depth about each character illness it was very light hearted also funny to listen too.
I loved the way it helps us understand what people with this illness goes through, honestly I was uneducated about mental health issues + the struggles living it.

Best podcast iv ever listen too⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An inspirational story on what it would be like to cope with mental health problems in an apocalyptic senario and how people help one another.

Excellent story

Stellar premise, great performance, script is a tad over dramatic in places, but it all makes for a truly engaging story.

This is a gripping story. Frustrating that each episode is so short and i haven't figured out how to make them just roll on to the next. Very interesting look at how a group of very self obsessed teens have to cope and learn to look out for each other. Ending leaves a lot to your imagination.

Gripping story but short on coclusion
