Summary
The elves voted to wait...
...and lost.
Now Zelia belongs to the Elder wizards, after they forced her powers to emerge in a deadly explosion.
Under their rage and supposed training, Zelia feels her light slowly dwindle away. The only spark that still flickers is her connection...
...to the child god of mischief.
But when her actions inadvertently cause her friend harm, even that hope is caught in the balance. Will she suffer for all eternity for her mistakes?
Find out in this epic tale of elves, wizards, dragons, and gods.
Warning: This is an old version of this book, please see Cast in Fire (A Phoenix of Hope Novel, book one) for the updated version...unless you just prefer this narrator, then the story really isn't all that different.

Great Epic fantasy story to get stuck in to!
Zelia, I would class as Dark Epic Fantasy. Great story, read brilliantly by CB Droege. Loved every word of it and highly recommend to lovers of Fantasy.

ZELIA
This book is following Zelia. Us as the reader and Zelia herself don't know exactly what she is either. This story contains elves, wizards, dragons, and gods. I found the first few chapters of the story little hard to concentrate on but I restarted it again the next day and was better as you got into the story. With out giving the story away Zelia is original being brought up with the elves as she is adopted and seems to age slightly slower than them. Due to things that happen (you have to read/listen) she spends hundreds of years trapped in cave made to do her captives wishes. This is where the story gets more about everthing 🙂 and progress. Zelia seems to touch lots of life's and despite the why she has been horrifically treated still tries her best for everyone. I enjoyed the book and the way it ended there is more to come.

Too many things, too little sense
I read an entire book, a lot of things (I’d even say too many) happened and I have no idea what happened at all.
This book felt like it had too much back story we were supposed to understand along the way that wasn’t well explained and a lot of characters that meshed all in one or two different personalities and a lot of things happening that weren’t explained.
Or maybe I’m becoming completely dumb and that’s why this book made no sense for me...
