Summary
The generals said it was a rescue operation. Everyone knew it was a suicide mission. Zeb Carter volunteered.
Sori. Western military generals shudder when they hear the name. It is a remote, inaccessible village in Afghanistan, high up in the Hindu Kush mountains. It is where a dreaded Taliban terrorist hides and from where he conducts his murderous raids.
Villagers have a special name for the mountain on which Sori is perched. Mountain of Death. Sori is also where the Taliban hold three American soldiers captive. All attempts to free them have failed. Military operations and negotiations have proved fruitless. As the terrorists threaten to execute the soldiers, Zeb Carter volunteers to mount a rescue attempt. Alone.

Narrator ruined it!
Listening to this production was a bit of a trial. The narrator's voice was irritating & too lilting. The individual characters voices were so similar that sometimes you couldnt identify who was talking, which didnt add any credence to the story. An 'action' book needs someone to bring the story to life not make it a boring waste of time!

Poor performance
Very weak predictable story, but worst of all was the performance truly disappointing. I recommend avoiding this this!

Great storyline
Good story, don’t mind the narration you get used to it. Can be confusing at times as the voices are very similar.

Story good but narrator seems to think he’s reading poetry
I like the story but not the incredibly irritating song-song reading voice. Why do you pick such terrible readers? Do you not check their work before you sell it?

Great awareness of the region
Great story but the narration is absolutely appalling.
No idea why the narrator elects a sing song style for this type of book - ruins it completely
