I really loved this audiobook for my kids. The stories are gentle and soothing, and they do a great job of helping calm anxious thoughts at bedtime. The first thing I noticed was how perfect the narrator is for this. I really enjoyed “Cooper the kangaroo jumps away his jitters” and thought it was great lesson how Cooper the kangaroo developed courage, even through all of the jitters, heart palpitations, and anxiety. Cooper finds a his center, moves his feet, stretches his paws, and jumps up and down, and then is able to face the stage to show his peers the “double twist hop”. Everyone cheers and Cooper realizes he knows how to handle anxiety like a pro and feels proud, brave, and liberated. Such a great lesson for listeners! Beth Camby has put together a fantastic group of stories that are sure to make bedtime both fun and upfliting.
